We would like to thank everyone for joining us in our celebration of marriage! We know that almost everyone had a long drive and/or flight to get there. We really appreciate that you made the trip! We hope that everyone had a great time and please remember to upload any pictures you would like to share at the bottom of this page. Also we would like to thank everyone that worked so hard to make our special day go so smoothly, we couldn't have done it with out all of you :-) We hope that everyone enjoyed the wedding and reception.

Shuttle van

Hi everyone, Brent and I wanted to let everyone that is attending the wedding know that we have arranged for a 15 passenger van to pick guests up from the reception and take them back to the Americinn in Charlevoix or any location you wish that is between the Castle and Americinn :-) The van will start at 9:30 and runs until 11:30. The 14 Days of Our Wedding :-)

This will go much like the 12 Days of Christmas, except it is the 14 days leading up to our wedding :-) Saturday September 11th was our 3 year anniversary of our first date and when I got up that morning Brent had a present for me. It was 5 pink, 5 blue, and 4 brown fresh water pearls and supplies to make a necklace with them. Which starts our version of the 14 days of our wedding...
On the 14th day of our wedding my true love gave to me, 14 fresh water pearls.
On the 13th day of our wedding my true love gave to me, 13 romance novels.
On the 12th day of our wedding my true love gave to me, 12 long stem roses.
On the 11th day of our wedding my true love gave to me, 11 hard candies and a coupon for 11 free body massages! :-)
On the 10th day before our wedding my true love gave to me, 10 different colored charms on a Pandora bracelet!
On the 9th day before our wedding my true love gave to me, 9 free days to eat as many carbs and as much junk food as I want!! :-)
On the 8th day before our wedding my true love gave to me, a magic 8 ball ;-)
On the 7th day before our wedding my true love gave to me, 7 travel size lotions.
On the 6th day before our wedding my true love gave to me, 6 pairs of panties.
On the 5th day before our wedding my true love gave to me, 5 soy candles.

Brent and I would like to thank everyone that attended our wedding showers this weekend! It was great to see and be able to visit with our guests. Plus all the fun gifts ;-) We would also like to give a big shout out to Tammy, Donna, Mrs. Spinweber, Becky, Judy, Mrs. Cross, Katelyn, Deb, Megan, Kent, Jeff, Beryl, Crystal, Angie, Vicki, Larry, Chad and anyone else that helped and slipped under my radar! Both showers were more then I could have imagined. It was easy to see that everyone put a lot of time and energy into making them very special. There were so many special little details that really made me and Brent feel special. We are so blessed and grateful to have so many wonderful people in our lives that care so much and do such great things to show us how much they care! Again we would like to Thank everyone for the hard work and for attending our fabulous showers!! As soon as I get pictures from the showers I will post them :-)

Wedding Shower Weekend

With only 29 short days before our wedding we are getting ready to celebrate with friends and family at our wedding showers this weekend. We are both very excited to see everyone! Yes Brent will be at both showers. Since this is "Our" wedding and he insists that we only use the term wedding party instead of bridal party when referring to the bridesmaids and groomsmen, I decided that if he wants it called a wedding shower instead of a bridal shower he should attend also :-) It is so hard to believe that four weeks from tomorrow we will Mr. & Mrs. Brent Schermerhorn! It still gives me butterflies thinking how lucky I am that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, I couldn't be happier :-) Also just a reminder RSVP's are due back by September 4th. Only a week left to get them in!!!

50 Days!

Hi everyone! Are you getting excited? We are!! The invites have been mailed, and we have received back some of the RSVPs! The days seem to be flying by, thankfully, we have most of our task completed. We're just waiting for the RSVPs to start rolling in so we can start working on the seating chart :-) Also, we have less then a month until the wedding showers, and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone. We are having wedding showers both in Cass City, and in Clarkston. Everyone planning on attending the shower in Cass City is invited to wear a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" style hat. We like to have fun, so we thought this would be a great opportunity to play dress up by getting some big brimmed hats, and long satin gloves.

99 Days!

Well we are in the double digit count down now! These 99 days are sure to fly by. Brent and I found out last night that Americinn has 2 other weddings that are staying there that weekend and as of last night they only had 19 rooms left. So if you plan to stay there you may want to call soon.
Also Brent and I finished printing and assembling the invitations last night so they are ready to be mailed. We have started polishing Petoskey stones for the seating chart and they look really cool. Hopefully we find enough in time :-)
We have been making birthday cakes for some people I work with so we can practice for our wedding cake. For those of you that don't know we are making our cake. No we are not crazy! lol Well maybe we are... but it will be something special we will be able to remember.
We also stopped a brew supply store a few weeks ago on our way home from Boyne City to get supplies to brew the beer for the wedding. We had three recipes we needed to get. What we thought would be a quick stop took 2 hours! The automatic grinder for the grain was broke so I hand ground 53.5 pounds of grain! Talk about a workout!! But we have what we need and have two batches finished so no worries there will be plenty of beer at the reception.
